There are some wedding days that stay with you. Not just for the flowers, but for the feeling of them.
This was one of those days.
I arrived after a short drive from New Hampshire, where I often design for weddings like this, with everything already carefully prepared. Every stem had been sourced ahead of time, every color combination thoughtfully chosen so that the flowers would feel vibrant, layered, and full of life the moment they came together.
There’s something about arriving on-site with everything ready that allows the day to begin calmly, intentionally.
I went straight to work.
The bouquets are always where I start.
They’re the first pieces to be held, photographed, and experienced — and they set the tone for everything else.
Each bouquet was designed with movement and color in mind. Bright ranunculus, garden roses, and delicate accents layered together so they felt gathered, natural, and joyful rather than overly styled.
Before delivering them, I tied the ribbons, making sure everything was finished while the stems were still dry, and gave each bouquet a fresh cut so they would stay hydrated and beautiful through the entire day and into the evening.
Those small steps matter more than people realize — they’re what keep everything looking just as fresh hours later as they did in the morning.
When I went to find Stephanie to deliver her bouquet, everything shifted. She greeted me with the most genuine excitement and pulled me into the biggest hug.
It’s one of those moments that stays with you.
Because until that point, the flowers are still just pieces being created. And then suddenly… they’re part of something real. Something truly a part of their story, and it’s beautiful.
This is the moment where everything becomes the wedding.
The wedding party stepped into place, bouquets in hand, everything starting to feel like it’s all happening. The rich green dresses against the bright florals created something bold but still natural and grounded in the setting, but full of personality.
Nothing felt overly styled. Just joyful, effortless, and completely present. I was so excited when I saw the dress colors in person, paired with the florals I created.
The ceremony arch was designed to feel organic and slightly asymmetrical, with florals growing outward rather than feeling fixed in place.
Set against an open, green landscape, the design allowed the color to stand out while still feeling connected to the surroundings. Bright blooms layered into soft greenery created something that felt full, but never heavy.
By the time it was finished, everything felt ready. Just right for the setting, the couple, and the feeling of the day.
The reception carried that same feeling forward in a quieter way.
Bud vases were placed throughout the tables, each one slightly different, adding touches of color that felt intentional but never overwhelming. The space filled in softly layered, relaxed, and inviting.
It’s often these smaller details that complete a space without needing more.
What made this wedding so special wasn’t just the color or the design.
It was the trust.
Stephanie and her partner allowed the process to unfold naturally. They were open, excited, and fully present and that kind of energy changes everything. It allows the flowers to feel like an extension of the day rather than something placed into it.
And that’s always the goal.
Designing for weddings like this, where color, feeling, and trust come together, is what I love most.
For couples planning a New Hampshire or New England wedding and looking for flowers that feel natural, layered, and full of life, this is exactly what I aim to create.
If you’re dreaming of wedding flowers that feel just as joyful and effortless as your day, I’d love to begin that conversation with you.
