Some love stories are timeless, and some moments are meant to be remembered forever. That’s exactly what we set out to capture in this Notebook inspired wedding styled shoot, photographed by Allison Clarke Photography. Inspired by the sweeping romance of the film, we wanted to create an editorial that felt cinematic, dreamy, and filled with the little details that make love stories unforgettable.
Getting to create this shoot was such a joy. We wanted it to feel like a true love story unfolding—quiet, emotional, and timeless, but also playful and full of color. Every design choice was intentional, from the wedding flowers to the styling details, to the way the moments tied into classic Notebook scenes.
The shoot featured two distinct wedding color palettes. One was soft and timeless in white, a nod to romance in its purest form. The other was playful and expressive, with shades of peach, blue, lavender and pink—colors that reminded us of summer love, joy, and the vibrancy of a story that still feels alive decades later.
The wedding florals played a starring role in telling the story. One of our favorite elements was a vintage bicycle with a basket overflowing with flowers. It felt whimsical, nostalgic, and perfectly romantic, like a stolen moment on a country road, reminiscent of Noah and Allie’s carefree adventures. It was perfect timing when we were shooting the bike scene on the dirt road and a vintage VW Beetle drove by!
We also brought in a canoe decorated with flowers, another direct nod to one of the most iconic scenes in The Notebook. With lush blooms spilling over the edges, it became more than just a prop. It was a symbol of romance, adventure, and the idea that love is meant to be an unforgettable journey.
Stationery has the power to set the tone for a wedding day before guests even arrive. For this Notebook inspired wedding shoot, we envisioned stationery that felt romantic, nostalgic, and timeless—just like the love story itself. Handwritten-style calligraphy, textured paper, and soft color palettes echoed the florals and brought an extra layer of storytelling to the design.
Every invitation suite, save the date, and menu has the ability to become part of a couple’s legacy, something they’ll look back on years later with the same fondness as they do their photographs. Wedding stationery is more than paper—it’s the beginning of the story, and one of the most personal ways to share your journey with loved ones.
Working with Allison Clarke Photography brought everything to life. Her talent for capturing emotion and natural light allowed each detail to shine while keeping the story at the heart of every image. The photos feel cinematic, like stepping straight into a love story unfolding in real time.
Styled shoots like this remind us why we love creating wedding flowers and stationery design for couples. They allow us to dream, to play, and to reimagine love stories in ways that feel personal and deeply meaningful. A Notebook inspired wedding isn’t just about recreating a movie—it’s about channeling that timeless romance into your own wedding floral design, stationery, and styling choices that make the day uniquely yours.
